Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

I had heard a lot of good things about Rickys. To be honest we went because Taco Don Nachos was closed. I thought their chips were way too thick and the salsa was ehhh. The tacos themselves were quite tasty and they did have a lot of variety but I would not drive out of my way to get them. next time I would get assorted tacos a la cart.

This little taco joint is conveniently located between my casa and the outlet mall. It definitely isn't fine dining, but it is yummy and affordable. Counter-style ordering instead of waiters keeps the costs down. You can get 2 street tacos, beans and rice for under $4 every day of the week- that's cheaper than Taco Bell! My mom and I split the chicken fajitas- the veggies were fresh and the chicken was cooked perfectly, and it was more than enough for us to share. The menu says chips, queso and salsa run you about $3, but they brought us all for free (maybe it is free with an order?). Just two downsides: Beers were a little pricey (but the selection is good!) and the menu says they have margaritas and they don't just yet. Otherwise, worth checking out the next time you venture west of the city.

Simply amazing! Best street tacos in OKC! Great customer service. I eat lunch here 2-3 times a week.

This restaurant is located on Council & Reno in OKC. It is very clean and good food. They provide a warm atmosphere and friendly environment. From Breakfast Burritos to Enchiladas, to Tacos, to Shrimp Cocktails....the food is always fresh and made to order. Great value....hope you enjoy as much as I do.

I went here for lunch the other day. The place was about half full. I ordered 4 tacos and some chips and salsa with some queso as well. I ordered a carnitas taco, al pastor taco, lengua taco, and a crispy ground beef taco. The ground beef taco was tasty and fairly traditional Mexican fare. There was a bit of potato with a moderate amount of seasonings. Great overall taco. The lengua taco was one of the better lengua tacos I have eaten. If you like roast beef, then you will like lengua. Be adventurous and don't let the idea trip you up. Great overall taco. The carnitas taco is the best taco of this style I have eaten. I can not say enough about it. Very delicious taco! Now on to the al pastor taco. This is easily hands down the star of the show. I hate to admit it, but it is way better than the ones I make. It actually makes me mad that this one is so much better than mine! I recommend you give this place a visit during lunch for some great Mexican food. The only reason for not giving this place 5 stars is because they are only open for lunch.

Street tacos for me, El Champ for Ron. Started with fresh chips & dip/salsa & a Mexican Coke. Very relaxed atmosphere, GREAT FOOD, and very affordable. Eating here is a special treat because we do not live close. Well Worth The Drive!

I was excited seeing the cool decor outside. I got some street tacos. They were ok. The queso was watered down. Both the red and green salsa was watered down and very tasteless. Not impressed. I'll prob pick other options next time. Just having some good fresh salsa could really help instead of the watered down stuff in the bottles. Almost every bottle on all the tables were out. Outside decor gets 5 stars.

I want to enjoy this place a lot more than I currently do. However, I've enjoyed elements of it enough to return and give Ricky's multiple tries before I forever relegate it into the [*][*][*] category. Here's why you (and I) should give it a go (again): 1. Cheap. Cheap. Cheap. 2. Fairly expansive menu. 3. I may have ordered the stuff that wasn't that impressive. I tried a couple different things; something with carnitas (or something?) in it, and it was freakin' gooooood. But then I tried a chalupa (or something?) with beef in it, and it was bland and relatively flavorless. I'm not expecting everything on the menu to be perfect anyway. I just need to try something new next time. Also, refer to No. 1 on why this is so easy to do. 4. Decent sauce options at each table. 5. While the food I had the other day was lacking that... "Ooomph", it was well made, filling, and seemed to be decent in quality. 6. The customer service is pretty legit. Avoid the overpriced nonsense at BJ's, or the barely qualifies as food nonsense at McDonald's. Try this place instead.

Ever like something at a restaurant so much you never bother with other menu items? Well that's now the case with me when I go to Ricky's Tacos. I just had two of the most awesome tacos I've ever eaten. Yes ever. In my previous review of Ricky's I mentioned wanting to try their Carnitas, which is what I had today, along with rice, beans and hot carrots. Brothers and Sisters I have seen the Promised Land of Pork and the Carnitas I had today were it. Anyone got a superlative for delicious? I've spent ten times as much on a meal I've enjoyed less. A bump to 5 stars well-deserved.
